Southee bowling well but I'm not convinced Edwards was out. Surely this was one instance where it should have been an on field call.

Chanders to make a ton here. He's due.

I'm only listening, not watching this, but I can completely understand WindieWeathers' & Beamer's frustration with this line-up given how some of these dismissals have been made.

Well waddyaknow, Corey makes the breakthrough. While this is a poor WI team overall, there batting is definitely not too shabby, so it's very pleasing to see Anderson picking up handy wickets against them.

That is disgraceful batting. Literally all we need to do is bat properly and get 350 or more in the 1st innings and we'll be right in this match. But no, that's too much to ask for. A wild waft from our 2nd most senior batsman, batting on a very good wicket. Shocking.

I still haven't got much of a chance to watch Anderson bowl, but is there a touch of a left-handed Watson about him? He seems to be a very miserly seamer and Watson has shown the value of having a 4th seamer who can keep the pressure on, even if he himself is not an attacking option per se.
Yeah, very much so.

Very similar career trajectories as bowlers too. Fast but hittable --> unsustainable as an allrounder, injuries --> focusses on batting to save career --> comes back to bowling as medium-fast option, finds more movement and accuracy --> ironically becomes a much better bowler

if this was us batting like this the thread would have exploded. they look like they're caught between hitting their way into form and fearing getting out.

The actions aren't very similar, but the results are: very tight line, but of late swing and the ability to bowl the odd quicker one that can surprise the batsman. Watson's comfortably quicker than Anderson though.

Anderson seems to do well by being very accurate and keeping the runs down... then taking a wicket with a wide one. Did it in Bangladesh a few times too.

Watson's very much 130 to 135, whereas I think I've only ever seen about 2 balls from Corey that cracked 130.

Watson very rarely breaks into the mid 130s these days. He's got it up his sleeve but he's a high 120s to low 130s guy now. Anderson's a fraction below that - mid 120s to high 120s, with the low 130s ball up his sleeve - but they're of similar pace really.

Wow another one . Radio didn't seem excited - this going to be overturned?

Always feel you have a chance with Deonarine anyway.
