Yeah, very much so.I still haven't got much of a chance to watch Anderson bowl, but is there a touch of a left-handed Watson about him? He seems to be a very miserly seamer and Watson has shown the value of having a 4th seamer who can keep the pressure on, even if he himself is not an attacking option per se.
The actions aren't very similar, but the results are: very tight line, but of late swing and the ability to bowl the odd quicker one that can surprise the batsman. Watson's comfortably quicker than Anderson though.I still haven't got much of a chance to watch Anderson bowl, but is there a touch of a left-handed Watson about him? Not really.Watson's comfortably quicker than Anderson though.
Watson very rarely breaks into the mid 130s these days. He's got it up his sleeve but he's a high 120s to low 130s guy now. Anderson's a fraction below that - mid 120s to high 120s, with the low 130s ball up his sleeve - but they're of similar pace really.Watson's very much 130 to 135, whereas I think I've only ever seen about 2 balls from Corey that cracked 130.
