India could have scored a lot lot lot more IF the bigger players didn't have the craving to make their recent record better by not getting out and playing safe. Anyways !!!
Haha what the hell? They made 341...

Poor Lara, anyway Raina doing some brilliant fielding while the man who is returning from injury picked up a stunner. Love the fielding now tbh.

Samuels is really making #4 his own in ODIs. He's stepped up since that Champions trophy knock. He could really go along way to fixing the middle order collapse problem West Indies have had of late by batting 4 and allowing Lara to bat 5 - quite a formidable top order once you put Sarwan back in at 3. Gayle, Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Samuels, Lara.. would be as good as any top 5 going around if Samuels could keep up his form.

Maybe on paper it looks a really good line-up but surely you'd want Lara batting no lower than 4.I appreciate his powers are going down but he's still a fine player and deserves to bat at 3 or 4.

I share your sentiments as a Sachin fan, but this doesn't really answer the critics. His test batting is the issue.
Just a pointer, all of Tendulkar's batting was being questioned not that long. His average in ODIs in 2005 was as follows:

2005 (31y 252d) 16 16 1 412 123 93 67* 27.46 1 2 0

He has since then removed that part of the doubts of some/many.

The commentators drooling over Sehwag absolutely disgusts me. Uthappa is equally destructive but far more reliable, is he not?
Sehwag has done nothing over the past year or two to deserve a trip to the World Cup.

Wow, now they're bringing up his "great" record.

That said, this is a good sign from SRT. India need two of Ganguly, Tendulkar and Yuvraj in form to have a shot at glory in the World Cup.
Meh, I was actually indirectly directing that at Tool.
