Heh. Again the West Indies flattering the opposition with the margin of victory. Typical.
Bout time Samuels started showing some of that talent he has and Utthapa's innings was a breath of fresh air for Indian cricket I'm sureGood win for the West Indies, Lara and Samuels batted really well and Bravo bowled an excellent spell. Good to see Uthappa in the runs for India aswell.
Wow, fell asleep on my couch watching Pak vs. SA with Uthappa killing it in this game, wake up and checked Fox Sports News Active (was too lazy to even move from the couch) and saw that India lost, and only made 268.
Pretty ordinary considering the start, but full credit to the WI. Bravo must have bowled brilliantly.
Honestbharani will be delighted that not only Lara played, but batted excellently.
Why? It's not like India can lose the series. A draw is a very respectable result and it's more important to have one of your best ODI batsmen in shape for the World Cup than winning a series ahead of drawing it. Yuvraj needs as much cricket as he can get right now.But ideally, I would drop Yuvraj, he is still looking too under cooked for my liking. It is better to concentrate on winning this series first and then try him out against Sri Lanka.
Say what now?against a vastly inexperienced WI side
Wow, massive massive overreaction. After their dismal showing in the last few months, the least India can do is register a series win. 3-1 now that 4-0 is impossible. At home, against a vastly inexperienced WI side (caps of Ganguly + Dravid + Tendulkar must be greater than their entire team combined), with pitches tailor-made for their spinners and batsmen (ie more docile than anemic choirgirls) they should really be ashamed if they can't win. Then again, said choirgirls can probably perform better than this Indian team, so I won't be holding my breath.
England, arguably, have more spine: at least they apologise.
Same here TBH. I was really happy to see him perform! But, ill be ven more angry if sehwag comes and takes his place!Wow, massive massive overreaction.
Who cares what the results of this series is? What's more important is that India find the right team, the right formula and get their key players match fit and into form.
Uthappa's 70 from 40 balls or whatever was more important to me than the win, and whilst winning should have occured from the position India were in, I would take the loss and Uthappa's innings than a win with the tried and test Dravid scoring a ton and WI collapsing due to stupid cricket from them. Same will go for the next match, whilst I obviously want India to win, if Yuvraj can get some runs it'd be great (and more important), and players like Raina failing isn't bad. We'll be able to 'weed out' the players who aren't good enough just yet to make the WC 15 (Raina and possible Gambhir IMO, though I like them both) and know which players will be most valuable when the WC comes around.
exactly....i think that some people forget the fact that WI used to be an inexperienced side but are not anymore!Say what now?
Chris Gayle - 158 caps
Brian Lara - 289
Shivanarine Chanderpaul - 207
Marlon Samuels - 82
Dwayne Smith - 58
Dwayne Bravo - 59
Ian Bradshaw - 59
When the majority of the side has more than 50 ODI caps, that's not vastly inexperienced.
I'd like your opinion on who exactly are these people that are 'overrating' India.WI are a definite outsider in World Cup and will surprise a few.Wouldn't be surprised if they got to the final.Tipping Bangladesh to beat the Indians as they are a fast improving one day side.India way overated IMO
