***Official*** West Indies in India

Pitch is farcical, slow as **** and it may be a nice leveller after the road on Sunday but Ian Bradshaw delivered one ball that time he finished his follow through, Ganguly was still waiting to play a shot.

90 for 7 seems like a really poor total but considering only two of the West Indian bowlers have bowled particularly well, India could defend a low total easily. West Indies have the advantage of batting second and having a good look at the wicket of course but imagine if a couple of their other bowlers bowled well, India could be shot out for less than 60. Dwayne Smith has figures of 5 overs 13 for 1, yet all his served up his legside trite and half volleys, crazy stuff.

4/27 when he previously had just 9 wickets @ 50 suggests a way out of line performance.
6 of those wickets coming in his last 5 games before this one. He had 2 wickets at an average of 137 after his first 7 games. See how stats can hinder judgement?

If you watched the man bowl, you'd see that he can certainly be quite good. Like all West Indies bowlers though, bar Bradshaw perhaps, he lacks consistency.

I don't get it. How is the statement "only 2 of the West Indian bowlers have bowled well" related to "India could defend a low total easily"? Very rarely do more than 2 bowlers put their hand up in a bowling attack. And given the names comprising the Indian attack, though they may well do so, I wouldn't say they could defend a low total easily.

Simply, if three of the Indian bowlers bowl anything like decent they have more than a fair chance of dismissing the West Indies for next to nothing. Bradshaw, Bravo and Smith have bowled ****e, all the Indians have to do is put the ball on a decent length and let the pitch do the rest. Or Ajit Agarkar bowls like a champion and he does it all himself. :)

Somehow I find it hard to believe that Bradshaw has bowled that badly. And Bravo and Smith couldn't have been that far from decent either.
