Upcoming series against India should be quite defining for Panesar imo. Can he keep his average below 30 or will it as you have said go up to 35+. I have to say Panesar has had a lot cheap wickets in this series.

He has, however he has a decent record against decent players of spin too (except against India, which was his debut series, so, I'll be prepared to overlook that as long as he does well against them this summer).

Even that series wasn't appalling for a spinner making his debut in India, he did take Tendulkar, Kaif and Dravid in his first Test.

Yeah, he's had some easy wickets this series, but which England bowler hasn't. Look at the way Gayle and Powell got out first innings, you won't get many softer dismissals then that.

Well he's bowled two good deliveries to get the last two and that's about it really. Maybe the shock of seeing Panesar flighting the ball is too much for WI.
