Well he's the best in the current squad then, isn't he? PS - on another topic, real shame if Bopara is out of our ODI squad. One of the (depressingly few) England players who came out of the WC flop with credit.

We needed that. Wanted to get at least one more wicket before Windies get into the black. Looks like Shiv v England again - just like George Headley in the 1930's!

Sounded quite an oridnary shot from Gayle judging by the noises Sir Viv & Simon Mann made on TMS. Driving at all that wasn't there to be driven was the considered opinion.

How's the weather holding up?

Chanderpaul is only thirty odd runs away from being leading run scorer of the series (would overtake KP), which would be some achievement considering he has missed a test match. MOTS for mine.

Agreed. but as mentioned elsewhere in this country there is a MOTS for both teams so I think he'll pip Sylvester Joseph  for the Windies award.

Yeah, I'd agree. One of the better series efforts in a losing cause I've seen. Obviously Warne in 2005 is probably the benchmark in that respect, but he had rather better supporting players too.

For sure. I think (of course, I'm going to jinx him now) that in every completed innings he's played so far, he's made over 50. Decent effort

As great as Warne was, I'd have Shiv ahead of him for reasons you said.

Lara vs. SL back in 2001/02 is probably the best one in recent times. Mainly because his team was whitewashed 3-0.

How anyone can almost score 700 runs themselves, yet their team lose 3-0 is beyond me. The man is a legend.

England ODI captaincy debate on Sky…

David Lloyd- “No one has talked about him but Vikram Solanki; it’s a long shot but his domestic...”

I wonder why that is…

Make a cricketer who has a worse ODI average than Vaughan captain, great thinking Dave. We all know why we was a crock of **** under your command, with judgments such as that.

Can always rely on Panesar to get the wicket when a batsman is trying to get himself out. Dunno what the hell Bravo was doing.

Now what to say about that....Best to say he mistimed it. Ball seemed to be in the same position as the one before really.
