Robert Key is the new Jonty Rhodes! ;)
It was certainly one hell of a catch by Key.

Can anybody tell me if Dwayne Bravo has left his brian some where? The shot he played to get himself desevered a right kick up the you-know-where.

Sure he has heaps of talent, sure all international cricketers play stupid shots, but that was boardering on the reckless to say the least IMO when he could have left or tried to play an upper cut shot to and over the slips for four.

It's good to see England giving Anderson a long bowl. For goodness sake, the guy's had no work this season whatsoever.

He's young, strong and should be bowling far more overs than he has been allowed to. Possibly that's one of the problems with the 'central contract' that needs to be ironed out in future - the counties seem loath to play them when they are not involved with the test side. Sometimes, a guy just needs to get out there and bowl 22 overs in a day.
You do have to wonder how much of Simon Jones' confidence has been battered by not playing for Glamorgan when he got axed for Edgbatson.

True, but you it is the sort of thing you would learn not to do in junior cricket. Age for me is not an excuse, especially when you are playing at Test level.

England really are playing well, it's a great side. Let's just pray that Harmison and Flintoff can stay fit for the winter and next summer.

This is a hell of a summer from England, who have played the best cricket I have seen from them.. I cannot wait for the winter tour of SA..

But as for the ashes, don't England always improve their cricket and look the part and then get shot down by a dozen cricketers who are in a class of their own? I've known nothing different..

For the first time I real feel for Brian Lara... A great cricketer who has just hit the rock bottom.... Swings and roundabouts as they say...

The difference between England now and England of previous years isnt just in the results (because England in the last 5 years have actually done pretty well), its just how the game is played.

The level of intensity in the team is far beyond I have ever seen England have. They have in my opinion a real world class bowling line up (I hope for Englands sake Jimmy Anderson can keep up the good work from this last match), a world class performer in Flintoff (who adds that all important extra dimension previously lacking), and a batting line up which is now full of really good players (too many of them in fact...when was the last time England had that 'problem')....and with the rise in confidence from winning the performances in the field have improved a lot as well...and Vaughan is a very good captain as well.

As an Aussie I dont really like saying this, but I think a few years back the ECB set an objective of England to be the number one team in the world by 2007. If they keep this young team fit and healthy and the improvements continue (sort Andersons action out !!!!!)..i think that goal will be reached

The difference is England is not collapsing and losing matches which they could win. They would give their fans a nerve wracking time matched only by the collapses of India in the 90s and Windies right now and Pakistan any time in their history.

that is not happening in English cricket now surprisingly and they are playing funnily enough 'very clinically'

Good stuff to see for cricket.

you are right of course, but I would suspect that occasionally England will collapse vs a decent bowling line up (like all teams do sometimes)..but the difference is England now have a bowling attack that can bowl them back into the game..and so I would think the effect of a collapse on this England team wouldnt be as catastrophic as in previous years

14-1 - not a bad E/W IMO
Certainly worth a couple of bucks on.

Well done England though, althou you know how flat the wickets are or how cannon fodder the bowling is when you see two batsmen make centuries in each innings in the first two Tests.

Dwayne Bravo is class, I just hope he can stay fit.

Better effort in the second innings from the West Indies in the last Test.Only got to see the first 5 runs so can't comment on the rest of the match.Just wonder why they can't do this all the time.

It was more to do with England fielding very attacking fields.

Is there a reason this thread is still stickyed?

Or is it because today was meant to be the final day of the series?
