Utterly ridiculous. Harmless comment.
Well not really. KP is just a dumb arse, even though I agree with him 100% re: Knight being a knob.

How would you like it if you ran a company that sponsored a sporting team, then a high profile player in that team came out and called one of your employees incompetent and bad at what they do?

I think KP was asking a genuine question that all the cricket watching world was wanting to know the answer to, how did Nick Knight work his way into the commentary box for the Tests, seems straight forward enough to me.

KP is paid to score runs and Nick Knight is paid to voice his opinion. I think that kind of sums it up really.

Sad part is that neither of them do their job particularly well.

Being forced to resign captaincy probably counts as being warned. It's not his first time baiting people to make decisions in his favor.

The English team as a whole - at least, the ones on twitter - seem very open about their opinions on commentators, tbh. I know Broad, maybe even Anderson, have complained about Knight in the past/

Surely this makes it very difficult for Nick Knight to conduct interviews with English players?

Tim Bresnan bowled alright from what I saw. I haven't seen much of him other than from the highlight reels, but this last Test was the first I've seen significant stretches of in some time. Down on pace but he bowled enough pearlers to convince me that he can be pretty good when on song and a few klicks up on the speedgun. Deserving enough for a second go around but Finn definitely deserves a look in for the Third if Bresnan doesn't improve much.

WI were mad to not have played the off spinner after England's recent struggles against spin. 30/3 chasing 190, they had a more than even chance of pulling off the win with the offie.

I don't really understand why the hatred towards Nick Knight really... sure he's not the best commentator ever but he's not said anything particularly unpleasant about any of the players, or started any kind of campaigning about them. I know he suggested KP be dropped at some point over the winter, but he was hardly alone in that.

Anyhow, daft stuff from KP. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd all been told not to make these kind of tweets when a few of them commented on Knight a while back.

I get the feeling they were warned after they were all having a pop over the winter. Everyone else has been quiet on Nick Knight on twitter since then. So this is most likely just KP not engaging brain again.

Can someone start an online petition to get Neil Johnson commentating instead of Nick Knight or that other former county journeyman (whose name escapes me) who now pollutes the British coverage (not Mark Nicholas, who I'd rather see eviscerated).

If you mean Ian Ward he is quite good.

Better hope CW doesn't start fining posters for crticising Nick Knight or a few of us are going to be several quid lighter.

Yeah, they can be mildly ****ish about it too. Take the Strauss scenario, obviously every English cricket fan is grateful for what he's done for the team and hopefully the majority are pleased he tonned up in the first test, but the way Team England come out swinging about the media for posing the (surely not unreasonable) question about how long a batsman with one test ton in fifty innings deserves selectorial largesse does them little credit.

Surely this makes it very difficult for Nick Knight to conduct interviews with English players?
Yes, Nicholas Verity does struggle with the language.
