Sooner they change the rule to the ball having to touch the rope itself the better. Get on with it.

good batting tbh. leaving the good balls smashing the bad balls for 4. it's not as if an ODI field is being deployed...

Think the Windies rotation may be splitting hairs to be honest, after the ball whooped round early these two have done well if they can get into lunch two down. Barath's s/r is just under 50 which is good enough, and while people are right with the singles they've taken, or not as the case may be, the positives certainly outweigh such factors in the opening session of this Test.

They've been put in against a swinging new ball. You'd take 2/80 in those circumstances, usually.

well he's still out there so its not too bad, but doesn't even consider singles
well i mean what do you want him to do, walk across his stumps and dab it to square leg? Good bowling has prevented that sort of thing happening, but there's been enough bad balls punished to not have WI facing too much pressure.

bar the time beer opened, did barath last long enough to face spin once during the aus series?

bravo seems to manage singles.

Enough encouragement in the first session of the Test for Swann to have an impact here. Bresnan has been economical without being too threatening.

think the bowling to bravo has encouraged it a bit more than Barath. They've mostly been keeping it full-ish and on or outside off to Barath. Can be pretty risky to try to turn over the strike when the bowl is landing there
