Brathwaite is looking a little loose while Powell has looked assured early doors.

Hey, I didn't realise Braithwaite was playing tests these days. Good ****.

Kieran Powell has an excellent first name. He will go far in the world.

Feel so sorry for the Windies. Could have such a gun team right now if **** went their way/their board wasn't incompetent.

Put Gayle, Sarwan and Taylor in this team and it looks pretty promising.

Tbf I've never seen Kirk Edwards bat, but he has the record to back his inclusion. The team above is a good side imo.

After watching over half of the day's play I've finally seen a wicket fall LIVE, thought it was a little odd sending in Roach with over 9 overs of play left in the day.

Decent days play so far, I was really impressed with Powell. Edwards looks a little limited with his stroke play but seems to know his limitations. Not that surprised that he's the oldest out of the top 4. Not too keen on Brathwaite yet (sorry WW) but he's still only 18 so I'll cut him some slack.

Early signs would seem to indicate that Edwards could be our version of Jonathon Trott. Boring as hell to watch most of the time but will get the job done at the vital number 3 position. He has only really played the turning ball so far in his career though, it will be interesting to see how he goes in England. His performances against England Lions suggest he will actually be happier in those conditions. We shall see if he is up to it against a very good bowling lineup though.

Looking forward to watching our new ball burst, it will be nice to see some proper pace from both ends after watching Shakib, medium pace, left arm darts and part time off spin all day today.

As much as I like to watch him play, Sarwan has been dreadful lately. And Rampaul has been in exceptional form since the world cup so I don't see why you'd want to drop him

Yeah Samuels in for Sarwan; for now anyway.

I don't reckon Gayle's ever going to play another Test so he's a bit irrelevant, too.

Yes I'm sure we've been saying it for some time, if WI can get their strongest XI out on the pitch, they'll have the makings of a pretty decent side, and it does still apply. Would find room for Rampaul currently, but having the likes of Taylor, Edwards, Roach also at their disposal is more than useful.

And while Sammy has done a decent job of late, his inclusion is at the expense of a more talented bowler. He is reliable, and a decent enough squad member that can be some control to proceedings, but they do look stronger without him in most conditions.

Rubel cranks it up to the 140s and is usually in the late 120s/ low 130s. A bit nippier than medium pace to be fair.

Compared to Edwards and Roach he is distinctly medium fast. Still, I don't mean to be harsh on him, he's a decent young bowler. Shahadat , however, is one of the most pathetic international cricketers I have come across. That massive grunt before unleashing a 120kph long hop is infuriating to watch.

I'm by no means a supporter of Sammy but he deserves his place at the moment. Both Edwards and Roach have been a little wayward of late and Sammy has continued to contribute.

The form of junioir Bravo is somewhat concerning though
