Cheers for remembering my quote SL, Age. :D

Great tail-wag for Australia, and then superb bowling, McGrath is a beast. I though Bracken was great, tried to swing it, couldn`t, then used seam movement to great effect. And that catch! Great day of cricket, so good having free periods when Bracken is batting! :D :D I`ve been pretty impressed by the West Indies so far.
Yeah, it was some great all-round play by Bracken. The last few overs I saw of his spell were awesome, and I was really surprised by his batting.

Bracken was excellent - good accuracy, mid-130s, enough movement to make life interesting, unlucky not to jag Lara.

In summary, he showed a lot of what was sorely lacking from the back-up bowlers during the Ashes.

Hope he gets a couple of wickets to help his confidence along.

Yeah I thought Bracken was unlucky not to get Lara too, his was much closer than Lee's ball which ended up getting Lara out.

Out of interest, would Aussie fans liked to have seen Lara play a classic innings and score a century instead of being wrongly given out for 30?

for sure, i love watching Lara bat.

How on Earth did Devon Smith get his foot back in the crease, he almost did the splits.

yeah that was freaky, he picked his foot up and planted it as well rather than sliding it back, amazing stuff - as healy said great keeping from Gilly too.

I`ve always had faith in Bracken`s batting, and he really stand up in big matches, I think he scored 100+ in a final for his high-school Springwood. And I`ve seen him hit a square-leg six live. Beauty.

Go Australia, though I`d love to watch the Windies` pace attack fire.

Seriously, when you have KP on your national side, you can't be insulting anyone else's hair.
Ask Pickup - he's seen me.

My hair's like Gillespie's (worse, actually, hency the pony tail).

Because I carry that cross, I can insult anyone's hair I like.

Haha. No chance of him getting anywhere near Ch 9.

Ditto Slater and Mo Matthews.
Slats has actually just been contracted to Channel Nine, to do ING Cup matches. In my view anyway, it's great news. Slats is in touch with the modern game, and actually analyses the play - as distinct from just describing it.

they just confirmed the ball Lee hit did go over the grandstand out of the gabba...

it was found in the practice nets
It didnt actually go over the grandstand, but rather in between the scoreboard and the second tier.

That's great news actually, Slats is one of my fav commentators.

I'm still a fan of the old guard though, I enjoy my Tony Greig and Bill Lawry commentating as well.

No it went over... They showed it lodged in the nets outside the ground and Carl Rackemann said he saw it go over when he was walking by there with his daughter on ABC radio...

I was listening to the ABC radio, at the ground, and I heard them say what I said above. I flicked the radio off straight after though, so I may be wrong.

It was going over the stumps. Hawkeye showed that, and there was no way the umpire could have been sure if he was struck in line with the stumps or not. I thought that was a fair decision.
