regardless of what Watson does here i fully expect him to make several fast paced fifties in the test matches and not cash in on one

Yep. Scotland and Ireland for the A team and a 2nd divi county for the ashes squad. England really doing the decent thing by us with competitive games eh? Give me the schedule for the series here and they'd get the Canberra Comets and a few indoor cricket matches.
Disgusting that they didn't give us the Lions at any point, England get WA, NSW and Aus A when they tour...

God this commentator is on fire. Watson is Clarke and Watson's 89* is now the match score.

Think the Champions Trophy hasn't helped the scheduling - with that in there's a period of time which is dead time, and with the T20 starting it's restricted the options.

Twatto hopefully to retire at lunch, oh wait, other Australian batsmen don't matter do they? All for bloody Watson...

I don't think he can retire at lunch since it's a 4 day game, right? He'd have to be injured.
Shame, but I'm sure Watson can get himself injured easily enough...

In other news Craddock is up to 6 wickets for the match against a full strength English batting line-up, the door is still open for Compton as well, Root out fairly early again. Will be very interesting if Bairstow tons up to see who out of those three gets a gig...
