Perhaps he's been really upset by your comments and he's refining his technique? ;)
Maybe...or maybe GB's new job was to go and assassinate him? ;)

Where was Jayasuria...he didn't play in this match.

Also why do Sri Lanka persist with Jehan Mubarak? He's not done anything in 5 ODIs and his Domestic Career Record is rather poor...he seems like one of these players they just drag out from nowhere like Nawaz when they toured England.
5 games is too soon to judge. He should be given a longer run before such comments are made. Regarding his domestic career, Samuels had barely any FC cricket of note when he was drafted into the senior team. However, he was performing at youth level (U19, B Team etc.) The same may be true of Mubarak.

Anderson was also this way. The selectors saw the talent, not the stats. Trescothick, Vaughan....

He's averaging only 5 or 6 in 5 ODIs and is batting at 3-4. That's too high for someone so inexperianced. And also he needs to put in some sort of score because after 10 ODIs that is when you have a better idea weather the guy has it or not...

I like Mubarak wethere he is good enough for international level is yet to be determind.

Can you people imagine how hard it is for a young player like him to come to Australia with almost no previouse Internationl experiance? the conditions are so forgein to him and he is so young. Look at many of the more experianced Sri Lankan players they are struggeling to deal with the conditions as well.

You have to feel sorry for the young lad hes been thrust into the deep end and its hard to blame him for not scoring runs most of his team mates arent.

Adam Gilchrist has just said that he's saving up some big scores for the Finales of the VB Series. He said "I'm saving them up for the Finals, I don't like to waste tons in preliminary games"

Oh right, so he's been getting out early in recent games so that he can save the big scores for the finals...

Stop talking rubbish PLEASE!!!

So why cant he say that?

Its good to say these thing about yourself somtimes a little self applied pressure can really help.

Im sure he just feels like he is in good form and he is due for a big score. Its also true about Adam Gilchrist he has a good record of making runs in importaint matches.

He can't say that as it is impossible to save up tons for special matches. And I wouldn't call scoring any ton, even if it is scored in a preliminary match, a waste...especially for a player who has 8 ODI Tons from 150 ODIs and has a history of either getting out cheaply or getting to 50 then getting out...

You don't have to stick up for your fellow countrymen all the time Eclipse! I reckon he's just saying that to hide the fact his scores in the preliminery matches weren't that great, he he he!!

STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING and turn on the cricket. Brett Lee is bowling S-U-P-E-R-B-L-Y. QUICK and nawsty as well as right on the spot.

England are now two down within 6 overs.

England off to a nightmare start, 33 for 4 , with Lee and Williams giving England a hell time.

Australia are more than likely to win the final!

Lee is bowling almost constantly at around 94 mph and with some very menacing bounce..... he is on fire... Eng are 33/4

Well that was fast.... Australia knocked off the required runs without losing a wicket with 37 overs to spare.
They look like theyre starting to hit a bit of a peak just before the world cup.

He hit seven fours in 8 balls at one stage. (six in a row) overall about 10 4s in 15 balls.

It was carnage.

who thinks Adam Gilchrist should have got man of the match 69* off 37, 5 catches and 1 stumping.

Brett Lee got it.

Nope. If not for Lee, Australia wouldn't be chasing 117. Even if Gilly had made a duck, Australia still would have won comfortably.

I have got to say Gilchrist does a wonderfull job of rubbing salt into the wound.

Just imagine what Hussain was thinking.

Any one see Cadick deliver that ball the he let go way behind the umpire Gilly still hit it for 4.
