He's got to be from India: he has a long and rather odd name and he seems to think England is a laughing matter...what more proof do you need?

What???? Man i'm a die hard English fan, haven't you noticed that 90 percent of my posts are about the English team:(
And what makes you think that i consider them to be a laughing stock? I think this is a team that should be taken very seriously.8D

England Won The Toss And Elect To Bat

England Team News - Caddick/Harmison/Collingwood all in

Gezz, M.Trescothick is living on the edge literally, dropped in the slips and one that didn't quite carry... the dropped catch would have been somthing special... reminded me of the J.Rhodes catch against us....

Match State After 5 Over

England - 24/0

M.Trescothick - 15 (22)
N.Knight - 8 (9)

Gezz you would think M.Trescothick would learn... Two rash shots, one lands safely at mid off.... and the other should have been caught on the ropes at wide fine leg, yet fielder miss it completly ( about foot away and hits the rope on the full for six runs....

Eng - 37/0

Trescothick OUT!!

Well the way he was playing it was just a matter of time, Cuts a wide ball stright to the guy at point... comfortable catch for Mumbarak from the bowling of Vass....

M.Trescothick: 27 (27)

Fall Of Wicket: 47/1

NO WAY....R.Irani gone as well...nearly identical to Trescothicks dissmissal

R.Irani: 1 (4) C Mumbarak B Gunaratne

Fall Of Wicket: 48/2

Latest Score

England: 51/2 8.4 Overs

Nah enjoying it....but M.Trescothick put the wrong brain in today... he edged like the 4th ball of the day and just didn't carry... he was dropped twice there after and still went for wide balls miles outside off.... However what Irani was doing was suprising fell to excatly the same fielding placement and didn't even really get any power into the shot...and something must be up because even Nasser is going after ecerthing as well..... Now Knight is making stupid runs and was a mile out if that had just hit....

They need to clam down and take stock and then go for it again.....

The only good thing so far is the ball is doing a bit and has very good bounce so the many England fast bowlers will look forward to bowling on it (or should do)

What a mess after such a fine start, now the wounded warrior in Hussain is out in the middle.Let see if he's able 2 do something good for his team today!

Age I think your right, but remember to take into account that SL will bat under lights, so it makes it that much harder...

258 in 44 overs!! I think England is on its way to a massive score, somewhere near 300 or even more.

I don't think England can now lose this match!

Never say never with England.....

271/5 with 5 overs left

65 off last 6 overs

Couple of points...

1/ Highest ever OD score by England at the GABA

2/ If SL got the target, it would break the record for highest target succesfully achieved

3/ Good to see A.Stewart get among the runs.... (currently 60*)

4/ Good to see even after a top order collapse the guys refused to crummble this time and have set a decent total at least this time...

5/ 6th Wicket p/ship 50 of 30* balls so much better than 30 of the last 10....

6/ lets just hope our in-experianced bowling holds up

7/ There's no way SL will knock nearly 300 runs off in under 40 overs...

And Blackwell 24 (12) goes to a fine caught and bolwed.......
