India 223 ao

SA win by 3 runs...this appears to be the day of dramatic finishes!

In other news, WI beat SL by 19 runs after Baker took 6-39 for WI, the Aussies beat Scotland by ten wickets inside 3.5 overs and Nepal cruised to a 7-wicket win over PNG.

If SA get to the final they should get trounced, IMO - they've been lucky so far.

One flop in the tournament doesn't mean India has no chance now.I still hope India can make to the final .

Well,I am just interested in the plate championship now as Nepal has impressively started this round winning over papuan new guinea.I am hoping it to make to the final ,and win the tournament.(Nepal was the plate runner up last time).

I can't see anyone stopping Bangladesh making the plate final, and the Australia v Nepal game will decide the other finalist in all likelihood.

Anyone know how the NZ/Eng match is going?
I just heard that Pakistan beat Zimbabwe.

Wouldn't quite put it past Ireland yet...they made a good job against WI, and thrashed Uganda (who played fairly evenly with Nepal). On a good day, they can beat Bangladesh.

Group 1 in the SL is still very close :)

India in trouble at 124/4. Tsk, I was hoping for some big things from Ambati, and he was looking good for a while too.

Hope this isn't their ticket home.

right now, pakistan look like the team most likely to win the cup, undefeated as yet, and took care of zim. with ease.

Four run outs for India!

West Indies chasing 254 to win it...not impossible, but certainly a difficult task. Looking at the tables though, India have pretty much got to win this one...

India under 19 got out of jail.. after being 30/3. Shikhar Dhiwan had a great partnership with Raina after which Karthik took singles while Dinesh Karthik kept blasting 'sixes and fours'. They are 260/4 now after 45 overs.. definitely a hance to get 300.. This is a virtual quarter final match with the winner qualifying for the semis.

In South Africa vs Windies under 19, South Africa requireabout 10 runs per over in the last 5/6 overs... that match is also a virtual quarter final.

Wonderful cricket being played in the India-Sri Lanka match with India coming back from behind.

Will be interesting to see how Sri Lanka bats.

India end at 316. A ridiculous amount of runs were scored in the last few overs. It's going to be tough for SL from here.

Also, SA lost by 34 runs and are out of the cup. WI goes through

In reply to India's 316/5, Sri Lanka are 101/2 (13.3 ov). They've just lost a wicket:

Last Wicket: 101/2 (13.3 ov);
CKB Kulasekara c & b Gupta 15 (16b 2x4 0x6) SR: 93.75

SL currently require another 216 runs with 8 wickets and 36.3 overs remaining

India Under-19s RR: 6.32
Sri Lanka Under-19s RR: 7.37
Required RR: 5.94

Sri Lanka Under-19s 154/4 (25 ov)

India Under-19s RR: 6.32
Sri Lanka Under-19s RR: 6.16
Required RR: 6.52

Two quick wickets have tipped the scales in India's favour. There have been so many run-outs in this world cup so far.

Sri Lanka Under-19s 158/5 (26.2 ov)

HE Vithana c & b Gupta 35 (56b 4x4 0x6) SR: 62.50

Another wicket, 3 in quick succession something special needed from the Sri Lankan's. The run rate has been gradually dropping since the 13th over, exactly a run a ball ATM.

Surely all over now, as another run-out sends NP Navela back to the pavilion for 20 (22b 0x4 1x6). Current run rate is under 6, req rate is 7.56.

Scores:

Probably a function of the inexperience, I reckon - players start to take risks way too early...

That means the winner of England v Pakistan gets to meet WI, while the loser takes on India. I know who I'd prefer :)
