*Official* Tour Matches

I suppose this was the point though, better to do this now then at the Gabba, still its giving me more hope we might just win that little urn back
This is gold. The less time the poms can spend out in the middle, the better for us. Hopefully they will get rolled in all the tour matches.

Isn't that the same kind of logic being applied to our team? :p

EDIT: Another one! 7/117...

EDIT2: Broad off the mark with an edge through the legs of slip.

Obviously just a tour match, but nice to see the poms battling already. Long may it continue.

Anyone know how the batsmen got out? Most look like caught behinds, unless North doesn't field at slips

Thought that WA was supposed to be the worst team in Oz and that Magoffin was their only decent bowler?
They are.

Not the ideal hit-out for the English batters but reckon the main thing would be for KP to get runs and get comfortably back into the team set-up.

Yeah, they are. Hogan's not terrible but Magoffin was coming back from injury (and got re-injured) and the rest of the attack is fresh out of grade cricket (admittedly Beer dominated grade cricket, but still). Probably shouldn't read too much into tour games but WA are dire so this is worrying for England.

I'm tending towards this. All the rhetoric about going into these tour games at full strength is lost when you're still coming to terms with the conditions and really just gearing up for tests. I'm expecting a tougher time to be given to the Redbacks.

It is,would of been good to see him go on,but out of all the players who needed a decent knock it was KP.

Interesting that Trott played at least 2 pull shots today, which is 2 more than what hes played during his test match career. Second one almost got him out, certainly seems like hes working on that aspect of his game.
