I would agree that Swann is the better bowler than Harb at the moment. But when Harb was at his peak, he was better than Swann is now tbh.

Dont think I consider him more than good to be honest. He still has the 2 toughest tests ahead of him (tours of Australia and the subcontinent) to prove himself on.

On Harbhajan, Im not sure when this peak was? Hes a good bowler on slower wickets and not so goood otherwise and that has been the hallmark for most of his career.

If Swann does excel in Australia and/or the subcontinent my opinion of him will change. If he does maintain an average of 26 or less, after facing tough opposition enough times, then I would seriously consider classifying him as a 'great', in a similiar league to Warne and Murali etc.. However, considering the recent performances against - lets be honest - terrible batting sides that boosted his average, and the fact that his FC average is around 31, I would be quite suprised if he could maintain an average of 26 or less.

Harb I think would have been at his peak around 2004. As someone else already stated, he is less of an attacking bowler these days. Overall though I think Harb is a very good bowler, some of his stats probably don't do him justice IMO.

But anyway, enough of this stuff. Lets just keep it to the topic of the thread now yeah?

I'd agree. The kind of turn Swann was getting this year on flat, flat wickets was insane. We played him pretty well I thought.

Well all the talk around here seems to suggest they're just going to pile on the runs, we have no bowlers, etc.

It's horrible. I forget for two years how much I hate England, then the Ashes come around and everything is back in it's right place.

Well considering the WA bowling line up isn't exactly top notch, I think who ever said that is going to have to eat some humble pie.

I think if they don't play Hauritz for the Gabba test, out bowling line up could actually look quite imposing. Not sure about our batting though. Depends on what the selectors decide to do.

Thought that WA was supposed to be the worst team in Oz and that Magoffin was their only decent bowler? :laugh:
