There's probably things Cook could have done better but a nut like that first ball is just too good. You're nervous and you haven't had a single sighter to adjust. Harris is so good when he is on song. So much more dangerous to top order bats than MJ.
Yeah, ideally he probably should've gotten onto the front foot, but even if he had he probably would've only succeeded in getting a thin edge behind the wicket. And honestly, how was he supposed to know that the ball was going to turn into an outswinger after it pitched? Probably the best single delivery I've ever seen from a fast bowler.

Maintain Mitch's in Adelaide wasn't 100% deliberate. Mind you, that's the point; put the ball in good areas and good things can happen, natural variation and all that. Conversely, no amount of movement saves **** bowling.

He could of been on the front foot playing down the line better. That might have just seen him feather to the keeper but you'd always rather nick off than hear the death rattle. The one thing an opener is hoping is that he gets a few balls or even a few overs in before 1 of those comes along. When that happens you just nod at the bowler and walk of.

I just can't give enough superlatives to Ryan Harris, to be honest. Is probably the current bowler I would most entrust with getting wickets on any pitch in the world.

if Ben Stokes gets a test hundred here he'll be pretty happy. I guess you could say he'd be chuffed

Stokes played one of the best straight drives of the game. Really warming up to him. Deserves the 100 here.
