Also, someone has to gif the entire Aus dressing room bursting into laughter after the Bailey drop just before Haddin got out.

Yeah, i've bagged Stokes a fair bit but he clearly has loads of ability with the bat and potential to be a solid 4th seamer. Might as well make him a fixture.
Same here, wouldn't have had him on the tour but he has bowled solidly and has bags of potential to improve and his batting shows he has the head to deal with the game at the highest level. Will never be a guy who averages mid 40's as a bat but could easily end up as a 35+ bat and 35- bowler which would be ideal.

Would it though? I'd much rather have a batsman averaging mid 40's than a mid 30's average in each discipline.

Well nobody moaned when Flintoff was at 6 and this lad looks a better player at the same age.
Nobody moaned between 2003-2006 when he average 40 with the bat and 28 with the ball. When his results begun to fall away he became a selection headache rather than the man that balanced the side.

Waste of a spot in the side if that is what you get. Flintoff weakened England for years. Unless they're of Kallis quality, they're a waste of time and space..

Twatto...

So what do you guys think of the odds for an English win?
Bet365 have an England win listed at $17.........WTF?? Was expecting $100 at least and was thinking I may have a roll on it. That is tight arse in the extreme.

Well, I wasn't around tbf. If Stokes can become a 40 and 30 averaging player than by all means great, but I've always been a "pick the best six batsman, best three seamers and best spinner" believer, so if there are significantly better batsman available than Stokes I wouldn't pick him.

What a crazy comment. First up you can't compare a batting allrounder with a bowling allrounder and if you are just setting the bar for allrounders in general by Kallis then there are a hell of a lot of esteemed players that were a "waste of space" in your opinion.

That's like saying Lyon is a waste of space because he is not of Warne quality.
