would be either related to the release of Aspinwall (played for Lancs in their games 1 and 3) or Stanley (played game 4). Presumably they have also played for their franchise. Wont encourage further release back of players.

I was at the games last night. The women's game was unfortunately not much of a contest. Manchester never had enough runs on the board and unless Knight got out early, it was always likely to be an easy chase. The men's game was great though. After a slow start Manchester picked up at the back end of their innings but London were still favourites. But Farooqi took out the top order early up, including Pope for a second ball duck. Jennings and Hetmeyer steadies things and with 30 balls to go, London were favourites. But Mir and Raza slowed the scoring, then Farooqi and Currie bowled their death overs superbly. Manchester won fairly comfortably in the end by 12 runs. What's noticeable is the shift in crowd tone between games when the lads who want to drink rather than watch cricket show up and act like it's the last night alcohol will ever be served in the world.

How difficult are regulations to follow?

From the ECB Regulations Governing the Qualification and Registration of Cricketers for Competitive County Cricket 2024:
4.8 A Cricketer may be released by their Hundred Team in accordance with Regulation 4.7.2 if:
4.8.1 the Hundred Team is not playing a match on the same day (or any of the same days)
as the match for which the Cricketer is being released;
4.8.2 the Hundred Team has participated in at least two matches in The Hundred prior to
the relevant match for which the Cricketer is being released; and
4.8.3 the Player has not been a nominated player in both of the previous two matches of
the Hundred Team prior to the relevant match for which the Cricketer is being released,

Why would anyone in charge of a county club think Aspinwall was available before his franchise play a single game?

I’m struggling to see these games as being the “best v best. Copyright Rob Key

imo it’s basically the best t20 players in England with a few and getting fewer of the top overseas players

I know it’s not targeted at the likes of me but it’s been a dull watch

hopefully the finals will be exciting

I’m watching and that’s him done for at least the first test and possibly more

earlier he cranked it up to 87mph bowling

this 100 will ruin England

Genuinely just want to go home now. In big sulk ever here.
Looked like they got a stretcher out when he had left the field and they were going behind a stand . I think that could be him gone for at least the next 6 weeks
