It’s Trav’s World. We’re just living in it.
I just saw this online too. I think your pic confirms what Mitch is saying:

*Note: I'm thoroughly disgusted that they have the temerity to put their medals in their mouths. No class, no ethics, etc etc. Instead of doing this they should be online trolling Indian cricketer's wives.

I'm yet to see a comprehensive highlights package of the Aussie innings yet. I went to bed at 47/3 and have caught snippets since then. I might have to sign up to Kayo to watch it back nightly for the next month or so.

One of the things that I found most satisfying about the win is that, ultimately, ****ing around with the pitch is what partly led to India's downfall. It's a different kind of '**** around, find out' to what we're used to seeing from Travis Head, but it's just as good to watch. Sometimes taking control of the variables surrounding a game gives you too much to think about, and you **** it up.

And so we should be. Losing to a SC side is embarrassing at the best of times. To do so at home twice was the lowest point for Aus cricket since the mid 1980s.

Seem to have recovered quite well though
....how? India will win for a third time in about a years time.

Unless you're counting LO stuff to make up for Test series defeats at home. In which case, Australian cricket has fallen much farther than I realize.

Nah they've recovered from the embarrassment of losing to a SC side at home with a decent body of work since, in tests as well as LO. Losing in India early this year was not unexpected, but since then the WTC, Ashes and WC have made for a more than decent recovery from the embarrassment of the last Indian tour here.

Not to mention the fact that India was so shook by Australia winning a test earlier this year that they prepared the direst surface of the year to maintain their 2-1 lead.

I think the sooner everyone just says and does nothing re pitches the better it will be for all concerned. Everyone just needs to accept those sort of shenanigans when you tour the SC because without them the home sides stand no chance of winning.

By far the bigger issue for Aus on that tour was not playing a couple of warm up matches and letting blokes stay home to play the ****ing BBL instead, then deciding to drop Head from the side for the first test, thereby omitting their most consistent player of the past 12 months. There was a lot of talk in the lead up about him not having done much of anything away from home but that ignored the fact he'd become a very different sort of player in the meantime.

I'm not saying Aus would have won the series in any event, just they didn't give themselves the best chance to do so, especially re the preparation.

Not defending any of that certainly, but India also won in Australia twice - and last time at the Gabba - despite playing their 'C' team net bowlers.

As a lowly cricket fan who has no power over the governing and rules of the game, I would really appreciate if reverse-swing stays in the game and never leaves. It was awesome to see.

**** your bull**** two ballsz!
Yeah, I think this rule did the opposite of what it was designed for. It was meant to keep the ball swinging longer and redress the balance between bat and ball, but what it's mainly done is seen the newer balls travel further, and reverse swing removed from the equation. Back to one ball, I reckon.

The problem with one ball was it died after 35 overs. Maybe have 2 new balls for the first 30 overs and then allow the fielding captain to pick the one they want for the last 20?
