You want people to carry extra socks rather than just leave their shoes on? How weird. I mean, unless you've stepped in dog ****, I'm struggling to see how the bacteria of someone's bare feet is inherently less offensive than that on the soles of their shoes.

If you want to protect your floors you should just have shoe socks at your door and ask people to wear them. No foot odour - no dirt.

Lol found one of these freaks
Nah I just don't see how it's a first order issue. It's like getting in a tizz over musical preferences - it's just not important.

If I go to someone's house and they want people to take their shoes off, I've no problem with it. But by the same token if they aren't some sort of weird bastard with a foot fetish, then I don't. Then again, it might just be the streets near my place are inherently cleaner than the average part of the world, which tbh is probably the case. And in any event, the cleaners do the floors regularly anyway.

Sorry, there's a strong correlation between shoes on guys and right wingers, it's actually a very good idea to eliminate all of them..
I hear what you're saying but I think the correlation is more between shoes and boomer dads

My dad is as left as you can get for someone 50+, used to get super mad watching Trump on TV(called him a conman etc), but you better believe he wears his dad joggers inside the house

You walk around in your house with shoes that have gathered dirt along with maybe tiny insects, bacteria, poop etc from the outside world. You may have even stepped into a public toilet at some point. And now you’re bringing that into your home?

Let your feet breathe lol. And your house will be cleaner for it.

Maybe the feet stink because they’re in shoes and socks all day.

Just don't walk in **** ffs. Nothing unusual about getting about in bare feet in your own home, of course, but it's rude to ask guests to take their shoes off. Why would you make people do that when they (in some cases quite justifiably) might think the house they're entering is far more squalid than the outside world.
