You going to Wimbledon Marcuss? Awesome if so, you will love it.
Yeah, had an awesome day. Was on Court 1 and Bennetau v Verdasco was a great curtain raiser. First game was night on 10 minutes and when Verdasco failed to break I thought it might go on for a while, definitely saw it going more than 3 sets anyway. There were some insane points but Verdasco just seemed to step it up part way through the second and started really nailing his ground strokes, was impressive. Bennetau's fall looked nasty too but fair play to him for getting up and carrying on.
Only bad bit about the morning was the news of Azarenka's walkover meaning I couldn't go and watch Bouchard v Ivanovic on one of the outside courts
Saw Eugenie from afar though
Was so so happy I got to see Murray. Guy was just a class above everything else I saw that day. You really appreciate his ability to return and chase balls down when you see it in the flesh. Just has the ability to get racquet on it and direct it towards the mid-court, somehow. Lu nowhere near disgraced himself though, when he freed himself up he really climbed into some shots and made Murray look like the guy ranked 70 spots below. Difference was on the key points though, that and the fact Lu's start of the second set was a poor carryover from the end of the first. Suppose that's what separates elite sportsmen though, the ability to do it when the pressure is really on.
Even the women's game was a great spectacle. They do make it look so much harder than the men but there were some outrageous rallies again. Was a bit gutted Jankovic lost. She must be up there in terms of the quietest woman on the tour?
Watched the last of the Federer match on the mound. It was a really weird atmosphere. You couldn't tell who people wanted to win but I think that's because half of them didn't know themselves. It was certainly like that for me anyway. Suppose I can walk away saying I was there on the day history was made though.
Caught a cheeky bit of LRobson in the doubles
