Haha just saw Nadal isn't playing on Philippe Chatrier (centre court). Gotta be the first time in years.

Rafa getting broken so many times. Sure he's winning but this is the worst I've ever seen him at the French. Even in 2009 it wasn't that obvious he had an injury until it was revealed after he lost to Soderling.

****ing lift Rafa.

That being said, Andujar is a good player on clay.

What a great game that was. Loved playing doubles in it with my bro.

Anyway, Nadal has somehow managed to come back from 1-5 and 40-0 down on Andujar's serve to get back to 4-5. Has had to save at least 6-8 set points along the way.

Andujar will die if he doesn't win this set now.

Oh dear. Young wildcard Caroline Garcia was 6-3 4-1 up on Sharapova. She was paying around $30 pre-match or something ludicrous.

She ended up not winning another game from there, losing 6-3 4-6 0-6.

Ludicrous that Nadal won that set. Amazing choke from Andujar at various points in that set. Had so many set points, and botched them all.

Love that Nadal didn't throw the set at 1-5 and 40-0 on Andujar's serve. So many top 20 players would have (Monfils, Tsonga, Verdasco, Soderling)

What is crazy is just how much fitter Nadal is to so many players. A #48 ranked player shouldn't be SO much less fit than the #1 player. Along with Nadal just refusing to give up, pure fatigue had a huge part in Andujar royally ****ing that up.

Anyway Rafa's got a lot to improve on. Hopefully this is like last year's Wimbledon where Rafa went to 5 sets against Haase and Petschner during the tournament and looked in trouble, but turned it on at the business end of the tournament.

Andujar looked like a quality clay-court player but his complete inability to close out a winning situation was painful to watch, really. Was watching with my dad, called it when he was trying to serve it out at 5-1. Hate being right. :@ Some fabulous rallies though.

Yeah for a choke, at least it involved good tennis (if you get what I mean). Sure he couldn't hit that amazing flat forehand winner or backhand down the line on the set point, but to get to that position consistently he was absolutely bullying Rafa.

It was entertaining, though cringeworthy in the fact he couldn't hit that ONE extra shot.

Anyway he had a good clay court season heading into Roland Garros I believe. Thought this may be a tricky one for Rafa. Didn't think he'd break him 7 times or whatever mind you

Yeah, gotta commend Andujar for his spirit.. even though it was fairly obvious to me that he would keep getting to the brink and fail to convert, he never gave up.
