Pretty excited about this year's final. Almost as good as last year's, but for different reasons. The anticipation of what Li Na can do is great, and Kim's just a good girl. Especially since she's said she's retiring at the end of the season.

That's seriously dire. I could see the logic in not broadcasting it live in Melbourne if there were still tickets going spare, but in different states? Shocking.

Li takes the first set after not scoring a point in the first 2 games, and looking Zvonareva-esque.

She then stormed back and played awesome tennis. Love it.

Clijsters had a serious wobble in that third game of the third with two double faults and Li broke straight back. Li then got a bit tight serving in the fourth and doubled faulted at duece to give Kim the advantage which she coverts. Clijsters promptly holds to love in the fifth. Surely the Belgian from here?

Yeah would be extremely surprised if Kim lost from here.

When Li had 3-3 and 30-30 on Kim's serve in the second set it really looked like Li was going to take this out. Match has turned since then.

I really enjoyed that match. Most exciting women's grand slam final I've seen in a long time.

Fair dos. Served it out to love. Thought she might be getting a bit chokey in the last Li service game, but was obviously just keeping her powder dry. Very entertaining game.

Not as good as last year's, which was of a slightly higher quality, but this had a great fight back from a champion.

Good on Kim for pulling through. She was seriously challenged.
