We will be seeing a lot of these four players at the end of the majors for a long time. Federer, Safin, Hewitt & Roddick - they are all young and fine players - it will be a great rivalry. Only the French Open will bring other players in. Sure there will be guys who will push them like Nalbandian and others, but they will be consistently up there for the next 3 or so years.

He's just bitter! Safin played fantastically after he found his serve again and to win 7 games on the trot at the end of the third set and beginning of the fourth is a mark of his talent. Glad to see he's found his form of 4 years ago :)
just bitter, if u bothered to read, ud know what i really think of lleyton Hewitt...

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, Safin seems to be underrated as a speaker. But, man, does he some talent! His groundstrokes are just so fast and so deep, that is what gets the others, I think.

YES! Marat takes Hewitt down. Hewitt was always an idiot, we all knew that (even his fans  ) but his actions regarding the foot fault linesman was beyond disgraceful. Yes Hewitt played a tremendous and gutsy tournament, no denying that, but his behaviour continues to ruin any chance of me supporting him.

He can propose to Cartright or what not and get all the media attention he wants, its Marat who is the real champion. As people have said, the top 4 should be seen many times in the Quarters onwards at grand slams for many years.

There was also some one who thought Safin would lose to Haas. Ofcourse Haas was unfit and lost in an earlier round :D ;)

LOL theres 3 of the 4 majors, 9 masters series and the masters cup still to go, its dangerous to start bragging yet, as for you kyle, buzz off and watch your Pat Rafter replays...

2 of the 4 majors for Safin. He has already said he has some thing like a no chance at Wimbledon!

I am not expecting much more from Safin this year before the US Open. Its a big Federer Show I am expecting and hoping for.

But I will look at Haas' performances closely and wish he shows good results this year.

Any one knows some good tennis web sites to track scores?
www.atptennis.com is good, cause they have links to the particular tournaments that are on that week. not all those sites have live scores, but some do, the masters series ones do for sure and really they are most important...
