This Dechy is a stubborn bitch. FFS I want this match to end.

Stupid Star Sports... plan on showing Novak vs. Marat on delay (and pretended like its live), but are showing Ivanovic vs. Dechy live, and the commentators just spoiled the result.

marat turns it on, novak remains switched off and a straight sets win for the engimatic russian! i don't consider any win by safin an upset really, hope he can string together a few more wins here, a semifinal between him and feds is a potential classic...

Wow, Dechy has a right to feel stiff this match. Net court match point up, and then her hat falls off as she plays a point and is forced to replay it.

Awesome to hear about Marat beating Djokovic. Made my night, that.

And ooh, 6-6 in the third in this Ivanovic-Dechy game. Might watch this instead of the cricket for a bit.

BARNES OUT
tbf, I don't like watching him much but if he got up I'd cheer him. I enjoy watching Fed but I wouldn't mind seeing him lose, whoever against. Hewitt's a dick but he's got some fight and some spirit in him, which I can respect.

I would love to see Hewitt knock out Federer.

I just think it's good for Australian Tennis if it happened.

I respect Hewitt's ability to dig deep, and not throw it away when he's losing like so many other players.

However, apart from him being a dick, he's already won Wimbledon in the past, and I don't see what that did for Australian tennis back then? The flow on effect has obviously been very little.

Additionally, I don't believe in the rule that I must cheer him on because he is an Australian. I hate that line of thinking.

People forget Hewitt was the last person to win Wimbledon before Federer. I'd love someone new to win it, and I understand wanting Federer to not win it again, but not Lleyton.

Marat would be a dream, Rafa would be awesome, everyone else is pretty meh. Gasquet, Ancic, Baghdatis, Roddick and Haas would all be better than Hewitt.

That being said, I have noticed Hewitt being less of a prick on the court recently.

I actually didn't say I wanted Hewitt to win the whole thing.

I reckon if he beat Federer he'd still not be the favourite to win the whole thing.

I'm probably one of the few Aussies who admit that they like Hewitt, don't care if he doesn't win the whole thing, but it would just be nice to see him beat Federer again.

That's all well and good, unless you don't like those players. This is all from your POV.
Yeah fair point. I guess my main point is that Hewitt's won it before anyway, so its not so much as a long time coming (where Andy and Rafa have made two finals), nor a coming of age. It'd just be weird.

That's fair enough I guess. Hewitt/Federer was the main match to watch in 2004. Seems like a decade ago, when Roger was at his peak and no one (bar Safin once in a way) looked like stopping him.

watching serena scream her way to overpowering radwanska is like watching a female version of the hulk....

Haha, when asked about his next opponent, Safin says something like

"I don't know who it is, when I saw Djokovic in the 2nd round I didn't bother looking at the rest of the draw"

Love that man, so much!
