Barty winning would be the ruination of a long standing quiz question regarding the last Australian to win. Everyone assumes it must be Evonne Cawley, or at a stretch Wendy Turnbull. Chris O’Neil tends to generate a collective “who?”.

I’m not particularly a fan of Nadal, but a win here would be great after Djoko was banned. Not only would he overtake him in Slams, but he’d match him in winning all majors at least twice. With the added bonus that neither of the two boring dicks on the other side of the draw will win

First set went pretty much the way I thought it would, but Collins has turned things around impressively in the second (along with some uncharacteristically bad misses by Barty).
