great partneship so happy for Watson finaly getting his chance to bat for more than 5 overs and he didn't let anyone down.

Very well done from Watson and Hussey there - I really thought a score of 270 or under was going to be likely. 293 is a pretty damn good though.

Well Hussey and Watson have put together an EXCELLENT partnership. It was enjoyable to watch and they put it together well after being in a small amount of trouble.

5 runs...the ball was rebowled and they got a single

Is this the end of cricket at Telstra Dome?

As Hussey is just saying, its not easy hitting the roof and we are not going to see it happen often, so I dont think it will be a problem.

I'ld like to see it called play on just to see someone standing underneath, trying to catch it.

well as ive said in other forums, Hussey is "hell good"....

bats like bevan, run-a-ball stuff, not too many boundaries and runs like mad dog, watson and him must be 'knackered' (lol)

ive also said that hussey should be in the test team (might aswell try him, he's 30 now, and times running out, I'd bet any other nation would try him for their 12 man test team)

oh well.

Hussey has Darrell Hair to thank for after being plumb LBW off Murali and Hair didn't refer to the TV Umpire.

Demolition Man

State Vice-Captain
Hussey continues to show why he should have played in the ashes. Superb player in the best form of his life. His average in ODIs is bordering on the ridiculious and he is closely approaching the minimum games requirment to be listed in the best averages of all-time. 8 more innings and he will go number 1 in the all-time ODI batting averages.

Did anyone see the bit where KP was signing autographs and he told one autograph hunter to sit down?

He would be in any other side in the world. No doubt.

Are you talking about the one where the ball was probably going too high?

He should have been out to Gayle, they could not possibly call that a no-ball.

Another piece of Lame Captaincy by South Africa's Shaun Pollock.

Murali had the Aussies tied and the run rate under 5 , after 3 wickets had fallen in quick succession and every prospect of getting into the Aussie lower order , and what does pollock do - he takes Murali off the attack !!

How stupid is that !! There was every chance of taking a few more wickets and he(Pollock) can't even get that right !!

Not Gayle. Ntini! :D

If it weren't for Vettori & Murali in this series, the World XI could well have been chasing 350+ at least in every match.

No . It was off Murali. And I was watching it on TV and even the commentators couldn't believe Hair didn't refer that or that Pollock didn't ask it to be referred !

It was low if anything and absolutely on line !! If anything he was relatively forward.

I reckon.....you only have to look at the series stats to see that....in fact their stats are almost identical

Very much agreed. I also think Bond would have been a great option for this instead of, say, Ntini

Anyway, the quintessential one day innings and partnership from both Hussey and Watson there, pushing for two runs when possible, accumulating at 5-6 an over and looking for boundaries at the end.
