Don't worry too much guys the retirement of Johns and the debut of Tim Smith will fix everything for QLD.
Johns will play for another 10 years, so it isn't like that's going to happen. Also, there have been a lot of players who have had brilliant first seasons, then gone off the boil.

I think Smith really does look the real deal tho. His kicking game is quite superb, never mind for a first season rookie. My only concern is his size, needs to fill out a bit.

Actually the other concern would be the ARU; I think he'd go great in Union.

Yeah, I'm not saying he will be, but he will have a lot of competition. Thurston (who I hope never plays halfback for Qld again), Prince (who should have been Qld's halfback) and Seymour who is only 18 or 19.

Seymour is 20 and i think Thurston had a good series, hes a much better player than Smith, everyone knows my opinion of Brett Seymour so i wont crap on, but i think hes a better prospect than Smith Long term...

Well he once claimed to me in a boring maths class about three years ago that the Reds and NSW were interested in him, but he said he was keen on league.

Harrison is now a Roosters player. I guess he is a like-for-like for Mick Crocker except with a brain.

Crocker is a bit more of a hard man than Harrison, but Harrison works just as hard. It must be disapointing for the Rabbits to lose him, they really needed him to stay. If the Roosters pick up Anasta as well, it is hard to see them escaping the NRL finance people's gaze.

apparently the roosters were pretty happy to get rid of crocker, they have had enough of his antics and are glad he asked for a release. It was apparent yesterday when no one from Easts even tried to defend for his dangerous throw...

They are going to be very light in the fowards next season, Morley and Topou will probably be starting front rowers and they are more back rowers, Flannery, Harrison and Fitzgibbon will make up the back row and again they are more ball players than metre gainers... IMO they have recruited poorly...

I don't know about that considering they are likey to lose Crocker, Ricketson, Firman, Jason Cayless and Chris Walker to get those two players. It seems like the same situation as last season lose a bunch of players and replace them with less players that cost more.

They've already lost Firman, he signed with The Cowboys and Chris Walker is definitely going somewhere else.

Yeah i know, what i was saying is that the Roosters seem to be losing four players to sign Harrison and Ansata and keep under the salary cap.

Well i can think of a couple clubs that will be looking for a 5/8 or half back, if the Roosters want to release him.
