Good ball
tbf I would like to see someone score a 'daddy hundred' in these conditions. 96 or 104 are nice but you'd still want the batter to kick on and make 150, 200 etc.Murali Karthik looks at the scoreboard and goes "So many starts but no one converting it into a big score". bro a guy got 96, that's not a "start". This really annoys me. Lot of commentators imply there is no difference between a start and a almost ton. So dumb.
Yeah but Karthik said that specifically because Pant got out in the 90s. Dumb **** wouldnt have said it if Pant got 4 more runs and then got out.tbf I would like to see someone score a 'daddy hundred' in these conditions. 96 or 104 are nice but you'd still want the batter to kick on and make 150, 200 etc.
This is why when we're talking about conversion rates and such on here I don't really like fixating on the 50s/100s ratio. Like with any other single stat, it's a decent general indicator but it's also a blunt enough tool that a few runs here and there can skew it a lot without having had more than a marginal difference on a matchMurali Karthik looks at the scoreboard and goes "So many starts but no one converting it into a big score". bro a guy got 96, that's not a "start". yeah and its what makes cricket so much more subjective too. I have seen some guys try the match context type formulae for the numbers but even those are not great coz one great knock could still skew the numbers. Its so fascinating to discuss with reasonable people though. This is why when we're talking about conversion rates and such on here I don't really like fixating on the 50s/100s ratio. well OS will tell you the 50s/100s ratio is scandalous anywayThis is why when we're talking about conversion rates and such on here I don't really like fixating on the 50s/100s ratio. Yeah the fact that they have had a long on, deep midwicket , deep square leg and a deep point for Jadeja who has not hit a single ball in the air except when he pulled half trackers a couple of times, shows how bad they have been. This has been unforgivably easy going for India. SL arent even trying at this point.
