Dood...I totally feel bad for bandara. Afridi really went after him. I saw some of the highlights and this is what takes place.

bandara runs up, afridi charges down, bandara doesn't bowl and just stares at him, afridi who didn't want to stop kept charging and motioned the bat as if hitting the six. lmfao. then he said something.

Fair knock from Maharoof, someone must have taught him how to bat.

How did Amersinghe go?
I believe he got some stick as did Malinga...

Meanwhile Murali takes 6 wickets for Lancashire v Worcestershire (in Worcestershire's only innings of a drawn game), Sangakkara scores 149 for Warwickshire v Durham (playing as a specialist no:3 and not as wicket keeper- game still progressing ) and Vaas scores 56 at number 7 for Middlesex v Derbyshire (game still progressing)...:)

Is it better to rest the GOM (Grand Old Man) of SL cricket as his hit and miss batting style has been struggling over the last few innings and if he continues like this, it may lead to him calling quits for sure this time or pressure for him to do so ....

I am only concerned because SL will need him in Australia early next year IMO, and strategies to save him till then must be advocated...:)

Haha, fair knock from Afridi. Asif's still the man of the match in my books though. (Didn't watch tbf, don't kill me)

Jayasuriya, Malinga and Amerasinghe have been replaced by Warnapura, Fernando and Perera for the 2nd ODI while Pakistan go in unchanged. Malik won the toss and elected to bat, currently 49/1 off 6 overs.

Nice half century from Salman Butt, good to see him in the runs again. Quality player, Hameed as well.

Yasir Hameed brings up 50, good to see him continuing to succeed at ODI level. Pakistan should be aiming for at least 300.

Hameed gone for 50, caught and bowled by Malinga Bandara. Is anyone watching this game?

Salman Butt falls on 73, caught and bowled by Bandara. My Fantasy Cricket team is benefitting big time from this match.

nightprowler, do you think this is Pakistan's best batting lineup? Would you make any changes?

Bring Inzi back

Seriously though, I think this is a pretty decent batting line up for this format. Obvious weak links are there (Afridi, Nazir) but there aren't many batsmen going around (form wise) in Pakistan who should make the team. I'm happy to see Hameed batting one down as I always thought he would make a good replacement for Younis. Also am glad to see Hafeez on the sidelines. He's a decent Test opener, but just not suited for this format IMO. Hoping Fawad Alam gets a go in the next match, probably to replace Afridi.

Keep Imran Farhat well away from the side as well?
