Any comments on the ridiculousness (or otherwise) of the "we haz less ppl, so we iz tha bomb" comment? Or do you choose to only label comments that you don't like?
I never said that was a great comparison either. The comment you refer to was made in the heat of winning. TBH I don't like or dislike either comment - I think that so much more has to be taken into account than population, per capita earnings, which team earns more etc - like who has the better players DESPITE those factors.

FTR I think if NZ and India had their best teams on the park this would have been a much better contest and a more real reflection of where the teams sit.

Also if the game had been played without the lights being such a factor.

Peace man :) I think NZ recovered really well and we just sucked. The lights shouldn't be an excuse for defeat by a margin as wide as 200 runs.

No excuse whatsoever for Ind - they were thoroughly outplayed.Granted it was a bit harder under lights but there were no demons in the pitch.Collapsing from 39/0 to 88 a.o is just pathetic. Both NZ and Ind were missing a few players so that's no excuse either.Ind missed Gambhir,Tendu,Zaheer,Harbhajan and NZ were missing Vettori,Brendon and Ryder.

The only reasonable argument you could make in favour of India is that NZ were playing with 12 men to India's 10 - Jadeja being the difference maker as always

I was AMAZED at how well NZ recovered. I went to bed after 15 or so hours as had to get up early - then checked the score when I got up :-O

Wow. Go the Pig.

All you ****s shall be bestowed epic e-pwnage from me when Jadeja takes a 4-fer and scores a ton in the next game. :p

Can I ask why there is so much hatred towards Jadeja, he seems to have a fairly decent record.
It's more based on his **** T20 performances with both bat and ball.

He's actually been good in ODIs with the ball generally. But his ****ness tends to mould together.

NZ were definitely awesome today, mate. But let's not get ahead. Could also consider this - a country with a per capita income of $ 28,722 is beating a country with a per capita income of $ 2941.
Indeed.

The population argument is so simplistic, and just completely deceptive.

Otherwise Bangladesh should be dominating.

Well done, but you would have been sweating bullets at 3/28, and it should have been 4/40 or so :p

:New Zealand have won the toss and they're paying 3.00 on betfair. Get on 'em; D/N game in Dumbulla.
Well done on that - I suspect all the betting agencies will leave the odds pretty even until the toss now, and then change them up depending on who wins it.

Styris was very friendly when he was over here for the 2008 IPL. Venugopal Rao and he were in charge of towels for one of the games, and they spent a lot of time together, interacting with us outside the ropes.
