Once again, the difference between mediocre and great batsmen is not so much technical as it is the ability to not do stupid **** like that.

It's so unsurprising. He's been playing away from his body so much all innings, in fact all summer. He seems to have learned nothing having gotten out so many times the same way. Should be dropped imo. DOnt care how decent he's looked, it's ****ing woeful and too loose to be a test opener. Needs to **** off.

we'll be picking blokes from the park soon if we drop everyone who plays a stupid shot

It's not a one off though. Done it a stack. And when set. It's criminal.

That's a terrible review. Even if you were pretty bullish, why waste it on a night watchman

Again it clearly showed not out on spin vision as going miles down leg side, but 3rd ump still did hotspot, snicko and ball tracking. What a waste of time (even SL fielders moved back into position after spin vision)

How many Aussie bats typically don’t throw it away? Smith?

I understand it takes a while to get the ball tracking available, so they do the other things first.

Nice catch that.

Just Smith. That's why he averages 60. It's been these get set then throw it away shots that cost us the India series, but it's not a problem that's going to be solved soon with all the shield teams full of average 35, strike 60 batsmen.

This is basically business as usual for Australia - blokes getting out for not many runs.

Yeah Harris played some really bad wafts last night. He looked great for his first 10-15 runs then was loose af.

No way he should be dropped mind you, but he clearly needs to tighten up
