Big series for both sides to be in contention for the WTC final.
Bogey ground/city for SA in various sporting codes. Almost didnt have the Mandela moment in 95 thanks to Durban and thus no Matt Damon moment

Both these grounds if am not wrong favour spin unlike highlands of centurion and joburg which are out and out bouncy pitches. Me thinks sl have good chance

SA Team has been announced:

1. Markram
2. de Zorzi
3. Stubbs
4. Bavuma (C)
5. Bedingham
6. Verreynne (WK)
7. Mulder
8. Jansen
9. Coetzee
10. Maharaj
11. Rabada
Pretty much what we hoped to see... as balanced a team as what we could hope for right now.

I have to say, it feels so good having a good number of test series around this time of the year. The other formats can’t match the quality…and by extension, the level of enthusiasm I feel. It’s great!

(Coming from a cricket lover whose team is at the bottom of WTC, which is a joke)

Time to give Coetzee an extended run in the test side , he can be expensive at times but he does have the x factor and makes things happen. Markram needs to stand up and be counted, is this the last chance saloon in the test side ?. Mulder has improved a lot and been impressive recently, be good if he can kick on,

Just passed the Sri Lankan Team bus on my way home from work. The weather is quite overcast and humid here in Durban. Should be more of the same for the first few days. It usually is low and slow here, hence Maharaj and Muthusamy both coming from Durban but I think swing and seam is going to play a part for a while. I'm backing Jansen to have a good Test here.
