5 minutes in and Kusal already looks primed to do something incredibly stupid

That's a test tour though innit? Playing a whole suite in Perth would be interesting
Yup. Would it even be possible. Would they use the WACA for one ? Could get boring seeing the same scenery over 3 test matches.

Be a bit of a step backwards given the existence of Optus, but hopefully if it comes to that, maybe Adelaide can get thrown in? The football codes detest the cricket existing in February / March even under normal circumstances so that's another factor for scheduling the thing.

Ngidi bowling at snails pace here. Less margin for error against the best.
Ngidi lack of pace is concerning. And if Nortje does not learn to bowl a touch fuller soon it going to become very frustrating.

I still think that neither Ngidi or Nortje are opening bowlers. 3rd bowlers.

Agreed. Just been chatting about this on twitter.

Nortje is other end of the spectrum. High speeds are nice but it also needs skill and purpose to make it count.

Ngidi is like this sometimes. Lack of rhythm or whatever and his pace drops. The seam of the ball is very scrambled compared to previous test match. He normally comes back.

I really like Sipamla feels like he has real skills. Would be wonderful if they could get him an extra yard of pace.

To be fair, Nortje looks very hittable when he gets it full. He's just too all over the shop to maintain a good full length.

When Sipamla loses his line he really loses it, doesn't he?

Ha, speaking of line; nice friendly leg side long hop from Nortje to get Thirimanne going.
