Gets up to 145 fairly regularly.was about to say the same thing yet seems to get up to 140.
has been a batsman who can bowl for over 5-6 years nowKallis has averaged close to 50 with the ball for the last 3 years and striking at 100. Looks like he is moving into the batsmen who can bowl mould.
From 2006-2008 : He averages sub 30 with an excellent strike ratehas been a batsman who can bowl for over 5-6 years now
Yeah I wouldn't be too concerned about his bowling.. I doubt they pick him to take wickets anyway..he is there to provide some rest to the other guys. From 2006-2008 : He averages sub 30 with an excellent strike rate
From 2008 onwards : averaging almost 50 with a strike rate of 98
His bowling decline has been more pronounced recently, but then again with the kind of bowling SA has, the pressure on him is quite less in that department.
4. Samaraweera looking good in South AfricaWeird stuff from this Test:
1. Steyn bowling the inswinger as his main delivery
2. Tahir not bowling his googly which by the the way spins more that Murali's doosra
3. A debutant who's bowling at 90mph off a three pace run up
Jonah's entire body was/is made of paper, tbf.Simon Jones also was quite pacy off a short runup. Career got curtailed due to knee injury though
Young bloke playing for the Melbourne Renegades called Shahid Afridi bowls some decent heat off hardly any steps.Jonah's entire body was/is made of paper, tbf.
Craig White was the primary exponent of the lazy amble to crease/90mph+ delivery combo tho. Just loped in, but had amazing arm speed. Started off as an offie too, bizarrely enough. Bowlers usually go the other way.
Anyway, Pollock is in good form in the comm box. Very impressed with him, sounds like a chap who actually follows the game outside of his professional requirements. Hope he gets a Sky gig on the SA tour up here.
