I also used to critisize him heavity, on Sri Lankan forums, but he has made me to eat my words. I still believe he's not International quality. but he keep proving me wrong with each performances. Whn somebody does better than Murali in last year that player should have been doing something really good. And that's what Kulasekara has been doing in last one or two years

I believe this series is showing over here. Need to wake up & have a peep at what son is up too.

Kulasekara's definitely a little bit quicker than he was a few years back; it's helped him. He's never going to be in Vaas's class but he can certainly do a job in international cricket.

Probably more so in ODI's. Struggle to see him every being much of treat in tests or againts rampaging batsmen in T20's.

But as i just said, need to have a look at this so called improving Kulasekara ASAP.

If he thinks he shouldn't be picked, it should be brought up with the selectors privately. If they say he's playing anyway, Malik should say and do whatever will help him perform- in public at least. I don't think Akhtar will respond well, but we'll see.

Privately raising such stuff hardly creates any flutters in the subcontinent, particularly Pakistan.

Sri Lanka won the toss and will bat first again. Shoaib has been dropped (last we see of him?) and Tanvir has also made way. Spinner, Saeed Ajmal and Sohali Khan come in. Khan is meant to be pretty lively, so I look forward to seeing how he gets on.

Good opening spell by Sohali Khan, he can get the ball to come into the right handers sharp and has cramped Dilshan for room. Gets decent carry as well.

I too was in your opinion about him stating that he was garbage.

36 wickets @ 23.05, ER = 4.23. SR 32.6
4th best in the list in terms of average and economay rate, 6th in wickets. In last year, his figures are still better, and he has easily out performed Vaas.

Malik isn't fit to be the captain of the team. Akhtar has been the favorite whipping boy Pakistani captains for last few years. Hopefully he gets dropped and then we will see what excuses Malik comes up with. At present he is my most disliked cricketer.

If you are looking for a case where a captain has single handedly lost the game for the team then this match would be a great example.

Chasing any total when you have Mendis and Murali trying to keep you from scoring is a difficult task. Chasing a large total? Almost impossible.

That said I think batting first is a different story, the plan of attack is just play your natural game against them and score all the runs you can. When the number is set in stone they just seem so much more potent.

Besides Sanga's (awesomeness), Murali + Mendis (see previous), Malinga (gun). Dilshan has always been a guy I enjoy watching play for Sri Lanka. The guys I've mentioned are a major part of the reason why I support the team.

Yeah I've always liked Dilshan as well. Particularly a fan of his fielding, he's awesome.
