I'd go for How & Papps in our next Test, whenever that may be. Cumming is solid but I think those two would be a better option in the long-term.

They have played a lot better than us but the Black Caps need to get their act together because it's pathetic, they had been batting quite well up until now. Outside his family, how can anyone be a big fan of Craig Cumming? He proved he wasn't up to it the last time he was picked, and proven it again now. Always be just a solid first-class opener who's not getting any younger

Were are improving away from home, as our series aganist England showed and this Test is showing. Are batsmen are performing better away from home and the guys that aren't are getting dropped i.e Samarawerra and Dilshan. But our biggest problem has been our seam attack, but with the improvements in Malinga we got a bowler that can make the most of overseas conditions, Vaas has never really been able to truely adapt overseas.

Really if we had a better lead up and more match practise i think we would have won this series 2 nil and quite comfortable. The Kiwi Test side isn't that great TBH.

He has always been a pretty good player for Otago and was never really given a decent enough run when he was young enough to make a difference, he scored a good half century against Australia and then didn't play too many games after that which is a shame. He provides a fair bit of stability at the top of our order and that's what we need.
