He was upset, but I didn't hear him swear. What did he say?
I'm not 100% he swore that time. The Vettori one he was yelling '****" in the ump face. The non-DRS one today he was heard screaming about officials doing it for the home teams advantage, and then with the wide call, he's again in the umps face & he's not even the skipper. The ump needs to grow some and tell him he doesn't want to hear another word.

Mills a much cleaner hitter these days. Would definitely prefer him at the death.
I'm really not convinced. Vettori's obv not as useful as he once was, but he has shown the odd glimpse to suggest he can still manipulate it & find tinny boundaries on a good day. Whereas Mills isn't as good with the bat as he was 5-6 years ago either is he?

Although I do see he got some domestic runs the other day.

Haven't seen any real drop off in Mills' batting, though it's difficult to tell because he bats so little. Has faced just 8 balls in his last 6 ODI's.

It is a crucial comeback game for Mills in terms of the pecking order. A typical 1-46 spell would do the job nicely today.
I'm not sure we need judge him on his first game back...look at Elliott. He was clueless in his first outing, and scored a ton later that week.

Having said that, this is the exact scenario I said Mill does his best work and why he should be in our best XI. And I expect him to go pretty well.

Yep, he's going to get a few games on the trot regardless, but it's still important the signs are there.

Maybe a weird time to say this after two loose balls in the over, but mills looks as good as ever.
Yup, the signs are good so far. If one wanted to be picky they could say he was a touch straight to Thirimanne.

The second test will be how he bowls in his spell towards the end of the innings. I don't think any of us really thought he wouldn't offer something with the new ball.

Thirimanne looks to be more comfortable at the top here, can handle the movement but enjoys the gaps in the field and the time available to get himself in it seems

Hmm. I know Mills is a perpetually tired looking guy, but he was breathing quite hard there. If he can't bowl 6 overs on the trot that would be a massive blow.

Yep, bowling superbly so far. Hitting the pitch hard at that length makes him hard to pull.
