That fact that Aus were whitewashed by THIS SL side means they shouldn't.The fact that these double tons are coming against THIS SL side should mean they are as good as stricken from the record
You aren't saying that this SL side is anything other than pretty bad, surely? That fact that Aus were whitewashed by THIS SL side means they shouldn't.
I won't say so. They still have some good players. They just had a decent series against Pak and as the previous poster put it, they whitewashed Aus in their conditions. The dominant Australia and WI teams won against everyone and just because of that, we can't say all other teams in their time are pretty bad teams. You aren't saying that this SL side is anything other than pretty bad, surely?
Why is that the only team this SL side is bad against is India? They just whitewashed Pak in UAE, becoming the first team in ages to do so and also whitewashed Australia at home but keep losing to India home and away. Doesn't that speak more of how strong India are in subcontinental conditions? You aren't saying that this SL side is anything other than pretty bad, surely?
I'd say all of Asia + WI as well. We just whitewashed SL earlier this year, the first away whitewash in years (until they too whitewashed Pak in UAE).I won't say so. They still have some good players. They just had a decent series against Pak and as the previous poster put it, they whitewashed Aus in their conditions. The dominant Australia and WI teams won against everyone and just because of that, we can't say all other teams in their time are pretty bad teams.
This Indian team IN India is comparable to those teams in terms of absolutely dominating the opponents.
I think that's fair as far as Test bats go .... Smith>Kohli>Root currently. The only thing Kohli's done wrong in recent times was that horrendous series vs. Aust, but that can probably be put down to a strange anomaly.Would a match abandoment result in Kohli's 243 being stricten from the records? that'd be funny
anyway i cant believe he's got yet another test double ton. 6 in 18 months. Now averages just shy of 54
After the Aus series some people were tipping this to slip down to the 40s and stay there. It seems he's the second best after Smith atm
I fail to see the relevance of this.Does seem a wee bit soft from the Lankans on the face of it, considering I can't recall another away side complaining of pollution levels playing in Dehli, in internationals or in IPL games, but I might be mistaken.
You failed to quote the 2nd part of my post, I'm questioning whether the vomiting is actually to do with the pollution or something else going around the team. Dehli has had bad pollution for years now, so seems strange it would be so bad to make one side get sick, when it hasn't seemed to have had that effect before to foreign cricketers -(at least in my recollection).I fail to see the relevance of this.
I'm sure the experts would know if the levels have dramatically increased in a short period of time... they have sophisticated equipment to measure the levels. How about the drastic change in pollution levels could have made a difference?.Delhi residents wouldn't have felt this as they are accustomed, and Indian players as generally most cities in India are on the polluted side.
I personally see nothing wrong with what SL did, and it is definitely up to BCCI and the relevant authorities of the government to take a stern decision with regards to this and should not compromise International cricket players for their lack of concern to the quality of air.
