DDS won an SLC award for the best batsman of last year..and can't get in the side. Thirimanne does **** all in Tests and gets to bat 3. I could get into it about our selectors but why bother.

Hopefully when Hathuru bails from BD, we can get some decent, consistent selections going that are appropriate for each format.

Dhananjay and Mendis' absence from the team is absolutely baffling. SLC are a mess.

Thing is Samarawickrema is still very young and we are putting a lot of pressure on him to open. I don't think he is ready yet. We should have kept with Silva ( his video thing between balls would have taken up two days anyway). I can understand giving Mendis a rest as he needs to regain confidence and have a mental break too as he is still young too..we are staring down the barrel obvs but one thing Thirrimanne is good at is holding his wicket.For me he gets out when he tries to force the pace rather than accumulation.

He does actually and has had a lot of success. 1000 odd runs last season IIRC.

Absolutely agree, that's the problem we have( which Mahela is trying to change) that our FC standard is pathetic and people can score bucket loads there but when it comes to proper cricket,they are nowhere near the level they need to be..

I think it's high time that Bumrah is included in Test squad for SA instead of Ishant. He'll be surely a suprise pack.

Dhananjaya has to be the unluckiest bat,averaged 55 odd in 2016.One bad series to SA, misses out on one of BAN test matches.And then since has played only one and that too in SSC Vs India.

Captains SL A to WI,scores a 100 and more runs there,wins unofficial test series 2-1.

Drops Mendis, Dhananjaya gets picked to tour India,not a game yet

Horrible selections tbh.

Mendis, Dhananjaya are a must.Seectors are a joke
