Looks like Sri Lanka's bowl first decision has been vindicated.

Low 80's mph bowlers getting lbws against top class batsman - wtf is goin on?
Came up the slope at him? I dunno, the **** came out here and flicked 95 mph balls on middle and off through midwicket. Hope his bubble's burst.

Trott finally misses that mid wickets clip haha... I remember last summer when he played that shot continuously I would pull hair out since he never missed it.

Well it is what we needed in a way, don't want another walkover watching England bat for ages and then destroying the opposition with a great bowling display.

Welegedara has not been bad. Been getting the ball to drift into the left hander. Doesn't seem to be what he is going for, judging by the seam, but is proving quite effective. Both of them around 83-85mph too, will be interesting to see what Fernando clocks up. I think his pace may have been a tad overhyped but we'll see what he comes out with!

Wouldn't call Trott's shot poor but wouldn't call it a great ball either. You're bound to miss a clip now and then when you play it so often.

The sling of Lakmal probably makes it difficult to line up a shot like that.

Oh my gosh! Pietersen is gone to a hooping outswinger. Sloppy shot but that ball did swing more than he expected.

hang on

so kp ensures the fall of the blade is stayed.

let's see if bell can front up in without others doing the hard yards.
ok, harsh but still....

This is awesome! I really doubted the decision to bowl first, but it's paid off so far.

Might be a good idea to play straight at the start of your innings when your captain thinks there's some movement out there. Not that I'd want to be too harsh on Trott all things considered. Strauss is another matter though - that looked like a poor shot to me. And KP just looks totally buggered afaics. Once upon a time he'd have seen off the crisis and rescued the innings: not nowadays though. Perhaps a career in 'Hello' magazine beckons.
