Weirdness from the Sri Lankans. Sticking with 5 bowlers even though they've only got one or two decent seamers. Lakmal in ahead of Perera even though he was entirely unthreatening and can't bat. Bowling first. just weird.

Can't be confident that they can bat, weather is lovely. Hand the initiative to England why don't you.

Odds on a Trott ton today?

Maharoof-Herath-Lakmal-Welegedara-Fernando.

Long tail. I guess Herath is preferred over Randiv so that he can get Pietersen. Doesn't look very threatening TBH.

They should have taken Kulasakera on tour atleast.
Could have been useful in England.

Strange they dropped Perrera though and i would have preferred Randiv too.

No point in playing a second spinner when Dilshan will bowl himself excessively

Sri Lanka open up with one bowler with an average of 58 and another with an average of 50.

I bet Strauss and Cook are quaking in their boots.

Pitch must have something in it. Sky are saying England would have bowled first too.
England choosing to bowl makes a lot more sense, with 3 quicks vs a mentally shaken batting lineup. SL have probably the second worst test attack at the moment, and Lord's recently is a flat deck.
