You reckon? Hows so?
I dunno, just think SL are already playing like they want to be somewhere else, plus Dilshan might miss out, and over the past few years we tend to go okay in ODIs at home.

ANyway, Broad gets one, up yours Spikey :p

Not the worst total in the conditions, but taking into consideration the form of the SL bowlers and the England lineup, it looks like trying to defend 25 or something.

SL would have bitten your hand off if you'd offered them this when they were 39 for 4, and again at 90 for 6.

England might find themselves in trouble at some stage - helpful conditions, probably on & off all day due to the rain, and we didn't bat all that convincingly against this attack at Lord's.

Broad pitches it up and takes a wicket, who'd of thunk? Honestly he's so frustrating, Tremlett get's more bounce, let him bang it in. Broad's best spells have always been when he pitches it up.

If he doesn't take a bag-ful in the second innings, surely Bres, Onions or Finn will come in for him.

Oh and David the reason GIMP thinks we'll win the ODI's is rather explained in his custom title.

Didn't we score nearly 500?
I was thinking about the 20odd for 3 start to the innings. Granted we came back really well after that. But it will be interesting to see our lower middle order bat when there's some real pressure on, which wasn't the case once Cook & Bell had patched up the innings last time.

Oh aye. Fair old point.

Though if Cook's form continues, the lower middle order won't be facing pressure too often.

Err no. 4/40 is pretty bad but 180 is still not great, and you'd not be happy with <200. Slightly less **** is still ****.

Hmm, Strauss...

Though Morgan, Prior & Broad lifted us pretty well from 200/5.

Maybe. But they'd have been dead pissed off with it at 84/4. Or at 22/0 for that matter. No need to be so selective.

Or, yeah that.
