Even the thought of Shane Warne's commentary infuriates now.
There was a session on Sky Sports yesterday (when it was raining) with Warnie and Mahela explaining spin bowling, batting against spin bowling and setting fields for a spin bowler. It was absolutely fascinating.

It missed it, but with Warne being Warne, there must haven been some nonsense between the clichés.

The most shittiest umpiring ever....Asian teams always get robbed by umpires..these oz and eng teams can't win without the help of corrupted umpires.
Love this. Such a pathetic moan that clearly isn't true.

Give us instances in a tight game then when the series was alive when this has happened then.

Jimmy admitted of disrespect toward umpire Ravi during 7th wicket stand (root lead eNg)
Code of conduct Level 1

If Asian player did something like this, he may suspended for one test but jimmy is king in England
He awaits 409 balls for his first wicket at Lords but he should behave himself.

Last test at Lords he send 33/0/137/0.vs aus or NZ
Eng..should selects jack Ball coz they already win series 8 points.

That'll be why Dhoni was banned after he abused the umpire enough that he just started giving anything that missed the bat out lbw. Was that the same series against Aus that Kohli exploded at Smith for talking to the commentary?

Though you're absolutely spot on, there is some nuance to that. Anderson isn't really English! He is a wildling form North of the Wall (Shire of Lancaster iirc). You can't really expect these savages to behave properly. Normally the England management keep these types quite by a appointing a proper English captain (from Gloucester or so). Unfortunately, the captain was off to the Nursery End, to have some fun with, well......., nurses. A fatal mistake, as his lieutenant is also a wildling from North of the Wall (Shire of York iirc). Considering the probable consequences of such a grave mismanagement, the umpire is lucky to still be alive!

You can't blame a wild dog for not having a leash!

Moeen's bowling averaging now getting up towards 42. At some point he needs to start taking wickets, or he has to bat top 6.

Game over..Shame the weather decided the result..I suppose if u had to look at the positives, we have bowled pretty well in this match on a fairly flat wicket..we still haven't adapted to the swinging ball as seen on day 3..at least we didn't get whitewashed but I would have rather we did it on our own merits rather than the rain...

Well 2-0 and a rain ruined draw is a satisfying series result.Be nice to go a whole summer unbeaten in tests and win both series if we can.

Being fair he hasn't been helped by dropped catches and a missed stumping on pretty ordinary surfaces for spinners to bowl on. Clearly not in the same league as Herath, but I'm not sure there is an England qualified spinner who is. Think he's pretty safe while there is so much uncertainty in the top 5.

It's been said before, but this is not really a problem. England do not need Ali to bowl in unfavourable conditions that much, as they have 4 quicks. From an England management perspective, it makes sense to be patient, and allow Moeen to improve his bowling.

Think it's pretty **** that no Billings in the ODI squad. With no Taylor now and Morgan being average for a while I really reckon he should be in the reckoning in the middle order. Could/should easily be in there instead of Bairstow or Vince or Roy.

Jordan continueing in ODI cricket is pretty awful but I guess they think there is no-one else especially as Plunkett is in there and he hasn't exactly being in favour in ODI cricket.

Not convinced Malan is really dynamic enough for a top order bat in T20 cricket but as they've rested Hales no great complaints. Good to see Mills in there. Would prefer Dawson in the 50 over squad rather than the 20 over.

It's a problem this winter and I think it's debeatable whether he is improving as a spinner or not, or has any confidence in his bowling. If they feel like he is going no-where they may have to look somewhere else for the rest of the summer.

My feeling with Moeen for a while is that he hasn't been bad enough that you have to drop him (regardless of whether there is a replacement ready), but if someone was bowling decent spin you wouldn't think twice about replacing him.

He's got this great opportunity but he hasn't really grasped it yet. He's a placeholder currently until someone better comes along- or he improves dramatically (as either a bat or bowler).

What you've said makes some sense, but I'm not convinced he's improving. I think he's just about staying at the same level, but batsman are figuring him out.

When he's not taking wickets he's just an inconsistent batsman at 7/8, and that's not a sensible choice.
