Yeah, not a great situation to come in to bat in when you're playing for your place. Doesn't gain anything if he gets some runs, but if he goes cheaply, he's done.

Congrats to Cook on the milestone and I reckon he will end up all time leading run scorer..also congrats go England on the series win. I am.very proud of the way we batted in the second innings and the fight we showed to take this game to four days..I don't think anyone( myself included) expected us not to bundled out for the fourth time this series..we have shown what we are capable of but just wish we did it sooner...again well done England, deserved winner..

Bet Cook gets a ton in last test.

We already have the 2-0 I thought we would get in this series as I presumed we would have one game rained off. If we can win the last it a bonus. Ball has to play though, doesn't matter who they drop but Ball has to play.

Same 12 for the next test. Compton's last stand. Sounds harsh but I hope he doesn't get any runs, this series has convinced me he isn't good enough. You can't be a test match player and be that at risk of losing your wicket when you play an attacking shot to anything less than a pie.

Having said that, that's Jimmeh taken 263 wickets since the end of the 2010 summer. Went into that winter's Ashes on 188 wickets.

No point in sticking with Compton if the selectors don't think he's the right answer medium-long term.

Get Borthwick in for the dead rubber and see if he can't make a positive start.
