Works both ways doesn't itWe are seeing little too many tight and "exciting" matches. But somehow it seems less a case of cricket becoming competitive and more of teams not finishing games clinically.
I'm not disagreeing but I just think that given his status and that he is around the international setup yet not a hint of a possibility of a test call up, there must be a reason for it - that's the only one I can see.
Mind you with our selectors there might not be a reason.
His career essentially consists of bullying rubbish attacks on home pitches and failing away from home.
Not sure how these two posts intermesh.I take it Hussey's excellent FC record is largely down to him being epic in County Cricket?
It still makes sense when you realise that Sheffield Shield attacks aren't rubbish. Not sure how these two posts intermesh.
If I changed the first one to "His Test career" then it would make more sense. Not sure how these two posts intermesh.
Aided by many not outs and batting against bowling attacks already traumatized.I never realised what a one-sided batsman Hussey is. Just looked at his stats now for probably the first time, and he frankly sucks everywhere except in Australia and India (only decent). His average in Aus though is pretty impressive. 62.65, thats even higher than Ponting.
Dunno. Don't really mind; it's a coin flip for me personally. Khawaja's been a bit better, but for a less sustained period. Khawaja has more time on his side, but he's less experienced. He's technically better, but White adds slips catching and part-time bowling.. etc etc.
Both would be good options at this point. I'd probably lean towards Khawaja I suppose, because I get the feeling he'd be less inclined to get out early and contribute to a collapse with North and Haddin also vulnerable early.
Good to see you following the advice in your own sig!Aided by many not outs and batting against bowling attacks already traumatized.
That's not in my sig though I'll add it nowGood to see you following the advice in your own sig!
They've been great when you say it like that but he only played for half a season the past two years, Though he has been doing gangster in ODI's, so he didn't creep up in that most runs list or nothing or dominate for a whole season, no fault of his own. still over those three years in shield his record comes together pretty good:Had no idea that White's Shield performances have been so good recently tbh. Would you have him in the team over Khawaja?
Read this post with the "always look on the bright side of life" tune playing in my head.In a way I reckon results like this one and Mohali are almost the best possible for Australia coming into the Ashes. Not only will it make the Aussies extremely unrelenting when finishing matches, but it will also make everyone in the team more determined to win. Furthermore, it could possibly even make the English team come into the Ashes thinking (perhaps implicity) that the Aussies are weaker than they actually are.
If, on the other hand, the Aussies clean sweeped the Indian series etc., then I really think England would boost themselves up to greater heights by knowing they have to be at a peak to beat Australia. This way, however, hopefully (from an Aussie's point of view) they might underestimate us.
McGrath averaged 20. So theoretically, you could average 40 and call yourself half as good as McGrath. The majority of bowlers in history haven't had half the nous of a McGrath tbh.
So on that theory Mo Sami is half as good as McGrath.McGrath averaged 20. So theoretically, you could average 40 and call yourself half as good as McGrath.
Whoa! Sami is twice as good as McGrath, get your math right mate.So on that theory Mo Sami is half as good as McGrath.
