Alzarri Joseph's average is heading north, with the amount of young fast bowling talent there in the Caribbean he must surely be under a lot of pressure to perform. Do you replace him with a batsman for the next test?

It's an interesting one. We have some thinking to do on our bowling attack. Alzarri is not delivering and looks confused as to what his role is. Gabriel is also consistently wasting the new ball. When Roach and Gabriel open together we have no-one who can actually swing the ball.

I think it might be time to demote Gabriel to first change and consider dropping Alzarri. Lets see how he does for the rest of this innings.

I feel it’s more of a spirited batting approach from the Sri Lankans in this dig. The pitch appears to have no demons in it. This might be like a Galle where the Lankans feel at home.

This is genuinely the first time I can recall Thirimanne making two good contributions in the same match. Honestly, if he keeps up the improvement he's showing there's no reason he can't retire with his average in the high twenties

Essentially Gabriel and Alzarri have added nothing to our attack in this match. It's hard to win a test match when two members or not even close to pulling their weight.
